What are WorkSource centers?
 
WorkSource centers are the entry points to all the LA County WorkSource services. One Stops are full-service career centers located in almost every community throughout the County. They offer comprehensive employment and hiring services to workers, employers, and job seekers at no charge. Most WorkSource centers also have technology resource centers with phones, fax machines, computers and copiers....
 
What services are available for job seekers?
 
WorkSource centers provide access to job listings, help with preliminary skill assessments, information about local education and training providers, current labor market information, and help with filing claims for unemployment insurance. Individuals with greater needs may be eligible for more intensive services, including personalized employment plans and individual counseling programs.
 
Do I need an appointment to use a WorkSource centers?
 
Most WorkSource services are available on a walk-in basis. Appointments may be requested from users with more extensive needs.
 
How many WorkSource centers are located in Los Angeles County?
 
Los Angeles County is home to more than 50 WorkSource centers. There are thousands of WorkSource centers located throughout the United States that are all part of America’s Workforce Network.
 
Who can benefit from WorkSource center services?
 
WorkSource career centers are open to all job seekers, workers, and employers in Los Angeles County.
 
How much do services cost?
 
Most WorkSource services are available at no cost to workers, job seekers, and businesses. More specialized services like customized training sessions or intensive employment counseling are available for a nominal fee.
 
What additional services are available at WorkSource centers?
 
Many WorkSource centers offer programs designed for youth in the community. Additionally, most centers provide services in multiple languages. Customers also have access to a wide variety of public services through referrals to other government agencies, such as Social Services, Economic Development, and Juvenile Justice.
